Verizon has launched “Casio G’zOne Brigade” according to military specifications. Now, Verizon is selling Casio G’zOne Brigade for $250.

For its toughness, the water-proof and shock-resistant phone meets the MIL-STD-810F standards. This device flips on horizontally, opens complete QWERTY keyboard and a large 2.9-inch screen with a 480×270 resolution.

Known as the Casio G’zOne Rock, the clamshell phone meets mil-spec 810F compliance for high shock, vibration, water, dust, and extreme temperatures. The phone also features touch-sensitive music controls, thermometer, compass, pedometer, a 2MP digicam with Flash, Stereo Bluetooth, GPS, and EV-DO REV A support. Verizon’s Casio G’zOne Rock is available for $199.99 on a two year contract after a $50 mail in rebate.

The phone’s display is also shock resistance thanks to its transparent shock absorption material between the LCD and the touch panel. The cell phone provides 3G wireless WAN (HSDPA) capability as a standard feature, providing a high-speed data connection with a maximum download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps. The Casio IT-800 RGC-35 PDA is also IP54-rated dust/splash proof and can withstand being dropped on concrete from a height of 1.5 meters. Casio will launch this rugged PDA by the end of January 2010.
