Acer Liquid A1 With Black Color Option

acer-liquidAcer has recently added a new color option ‘Black’ to its Liquid A1 Android smartphone series. This new black version will set you back 333 Euro (about $543).

In case you’ve forgotten, the handset boasts a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a Qualcomm 8250 768MHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, a 512MB ROM, a 256MB RAM, a microSD card slot, GPS, WiFi Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack, a 1350mAh Lithium-ion battery, Android 1.6 OS and supports quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) connectivity.

FCC Has Approved Acer Liquid A1

acer_liquid_a1The Almighty FCC has recently approved Acer’s first Android operating smartphone, the Liquid A1. The phone supports 850/1900 MHz HSDPA, which is of course compatible with AT&T’s 3G network. The Acer Liquid A1 comes jam packed with a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, a 3.5mm jack and a social networking access. Sadly, the handset’s 1Ghz Snapdragon CPU has been underclocked to 768 MHz. Stay tuned for more updates.

Acer’s First Android Smartphone Released In The UK

The company’s first Android smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor with a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, Quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Triband (900/1900/2100) HSDPA, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a 5-megapixel camera. FYI, Acer has decided to underclock it to 768MHz in order to prolong the 1,350mAh battery life span. The Acer Liquid A1 is currently in stock at retailers Expansys and Clove, priced at £339.99 ($556) and £328.99 ($538), respectively.
