Sony has finally unveiled its new and first LTE enabled device, Sony Xperia Ion at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas. Sony has also revealed their plans to introduce Sony Xperia Ion smartphone on the LTE network of AT&T.
Sony Xperia Ion smartphone grabs an extraordinarily impression of everyone with its sleek design and in particular its 12-megapixel camera and its 1080p video capture, Xperia Ion front-facing camera has 1.3MP capable of 720p video. Quite interestingly, the 720p display has a set of functions called Fast Capture that allow you to go from asleep to capture a photo in under 1.5 seconds.
Sony Xperia Ion smartphone has a 4.6-inch screen size boasting 1280×720 display, armed with the powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 16GB of internal storage.
Quite fascinatingly, Sony claims that it would work with any TV’s remote, not merely Sony’s. Nevertheless, the smartphone as well displays a browsing app on the TV that can’t be used without a keyboard worked into the mix.
Furthermore for video output of Xperia Ion there is a microHDMI port that is right next to the microUSB port, with a Smart Dock, which you can pick up that also has the same functionality like Motorola’s new docks do, moreover Xperia Ion includes NFC support, USB, USB, microHDMI, and microUSB.
Sadly, at the moment Sony Xperia Ion smartphone will not be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. But the Company promises that upgrade to Android 4.0 ICS for Xperia Ion will be updated by the second quarter of this year.
Sony Xperia Ion smartphone will hit the international market in March, although price details have not revealed by the Company at the moment.
