LG Optimus 2 Smartphone to Hit 2012 Consumer Electronics Show

LG, the Korean Electronics giant has added a new member to the Optimus series of Android based smartphones in the form of LG Optimus 2. The newest handset is allegedly the upgrade version of the old Optimus GT 540 that has landed in the 2010 with the Android Donut 1.6 as its OS.
Rejig of the website and shortly addition of Optimus 2 may possibly be with an eye on the upcoming CES. The Korean Electronics giant states that with the new Optimus 2, multitasking has been made easy.
The new LG Optimus 2 smartphone features a 3.2 inch display with a capacitive touch-screen display, 3.2 megapixel cameras and up to 32 GB expandable memory, and is set to run on Android Gingerbread 2.3 operating system, powered by an unknown processor having 800 MHz of clocking speed.
Furthermore, the smartphone is equipped with GPS capabilities, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, and a microSD slot for storage and is armed with a 1500 mAh battery. However, as this smartphone is a CDMA version smartphone, it will only be available with network operator tie-ups only.
Unfortunately, at the moment the Company did not revealed any information regarding the exact release date and price tag of the smartphone. However, the LG Optimus 2 smartphone is expected to budget friendly and the Company is likely to launch the device at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012, Las Vegas, USA from January 10-13.
