Here we go with a latest report, which states that Intel is alleged to release a total of 25 new 22-nanometer Ivy Bridge processors on 8th April 8 2012.
According to the reports from the Sources, Intel the Chip Maker will release 17 desktop CPUs and 8 notebooks Ivy Bridge processors in early April. The first chips are claimed to consist of models 3820QM and 3720QM, price tagged at $568 and $378, respectively, which might be rivals for Apple’s MacBook Pro lineup.
The 8 notebooks Ivy Bridge processors will feature the latest Intel HD Graphics 4000 architecture. Intel’s M-Series array is likely to have nominal thermal design power between 35 watts and 55 watts.
The report states that the Core i7-3667U and Core i5-3427U processors projected for Intel’s Ultrabook lineup. Those processors would as well be likely competitors for Apple’s MacBook Air.
Previous reports have noted that the i7-3667U processor will be clocked at 2GHz, and can overclock to 3.2GHz in single-core mode, whereas the i5-3427U will run at 1.8GHz and overclock to 2.8GHz in single-core mode. i7-3667U and i5-3427U models are claimed to be equipped with a graphics processor clocked at 350MHz, which can run as high as 1150MHz.
On the other hand, the leaked roadmap of Intel that has been revealed earlier this month shows that the launch date for the new chip platform will be May 2012, while the rumored 8th April launch date for the initial Ivy Bridge processors is a bit earlier.
