"Nokia Lumia 800" Nokia Lumia 800 is the Windows Phone, which has been proved to be an outstanding smartphone when it was announced at Nokia World 2011. However, it is facing a huge criticism because of its poor battery life from the owners of Lumia 800.

Quite interestingly, the Finnish phone manufacture has now come up a software update to address the battery charge problems and will also enhance the battery life.

Michaels, the Manager of Nokia’s European community has stated they have observed comments on various social media about the battery problems of Nokia Lumia 800. As a result, they have started an investigation on those comments, and have confirmed that it is merely a software glitch that does not assist to access full battery capacity on some variants and that the battery itself is excellent.

In response to the grievances from Lumia 800 owners, Nokia is expected to issue software patches that consist of many more features and will release the software in the month of January 2012 to fix the issue.

On the other hand, sources assert that problems with the battery are seen only in some Lumia 800 phones, and for the folks who can’t wait until Jan.2012 they can contact Nokia and can request for a replacement phone.

Nevertheless, Nokia stressed that this issue’s or glitches are not found on the freshly introduced Nokia Lumia 700. To be in a safer side, it is better to check your Lumia 800 for battery backup issue, before your phone starts showing symptoms. To solve, this you have to run the battery status test from the diagnostic tool, which is already installed on your phone.

Moreover, to access diagnostic tool, dial ##634#. Accept the disclaimer, and select ‘Battery Status’ from the list of options to know your battery capacity. If your phone charge capacity reads less than 1000 mAh, then there lies the problem and you should act accordingly.
