Intel, Inside Secure Signs NFC Products & Technologies Agreement

Inside Secure, a leading designer, developer and supplier of semiconductors, embedded software and platforms for secure transactions and digital security has today unveiled that it has entered into an agreement with Intel to provide the company with Inside’s NFC products and technologies.

According to the official reports, the agreement provides Intel access to Inside’s software, firmware and core hardware technology for growth of Intel future products. Moreover, Inside will provide Intel’s Mobile Wireless Group with access to scalable NFC solutions based on Inside’s SecuRead, MicroRead, and Open NFC products.

Inside’s SecuRead includes MicroRead NFC controller with a high-performance secure element and a Global Platform, with compliant Java Card OS.

Inside’s MicroRead NFC controller provides a broad range of Near Field Communication options and offers the capacity to support multiple secure element types for even SE or SD card, SIM, to support multiple business models.

Quite fascinatingly, both products are included with Inside’s Open NFC protocol stack to offer best-of-breed solutions. As Open NFC became the winner of the prestigious SESAMES Innovation Award, it has rapidly turn out to be as an open solution for Near Field Communication enablement on mobile devices, and has gained a important industry support from a broad array of participants in the NFC ecosystem.
