AT&T Launches Samsung Galaxy Tab: AT&T will launch Samsung Galaxy Tab, 7-inch iPad competitor on November 21. It’s predicted by Samsung executives that the sales of this Tab would be of 1 million units in 2010.
This Samsung Galaxy Tab runs Android 2.2 which is powered by Samsung’s 1GHz Hummingbird processor. In order to compete with Apple’s iTunes, Samsung’s Media Hub plays role and this tab supports Adobe Flash 10.1.
Below, we have mentioned the carriers that offer the Galaxy Tab. T-Mobile, one of those carriers had launched the device on Nov 10 with an aim to beat the Verizon and Sprint. Keeping this in view, Samsung assumes that the sales of Galaxy Tab will be more than one million by the end of 2010. In the forthcoming quarters, the company plans to expand the tablet’s offerings.
Pricing Details:
This tablet PC is priced for $649.99 at AT&T stores and also online on Samsung’s official website. This is also available with other U.S. carriers for a contract of 2-years. Other carriers include T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Sprint and Verizon. The owners of Galaxy Tab can either pay $14.99 for 250 MB or $25 for 2 GB of storage.
