Windows Phone 7: Last day, Microsoft Windows Phone 7 was launched on GSM networks. This Windows Phone 7 appears cool with its design and features. There is a strong reason why many big companies stick to the disused windows mobile phones and also, this might be one of the reasons behind the success of Windows Phone 7.
Dell has announced that its workers would switch from Blackberry to Windows Phone 7. This could be probably a sign for enterprise play for Microsoft. This device uses glasses that are highly durable for its screen and it has got a slide out keyboard which is pretty much similar to the BlackBerry Torch. This device runs on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. This device is not available from T-Mobile directly; however, Dell is offering the device on its website and stated that it is coming soon
I feel the announcement by Dell is substantial in many ways. In order to make this device an enterprise one, it definitely needs to carry many positive aspects such as the level of security, software integration etc. So, Dell would not consider this device as the choice of corporate platform if the above fails.
I have gone through some of the reviews which say that enterprise these days stick to their older Windows mobile phones as they support security and other applications that are needed. I personally assume that the upcoming or new version of Windows for mobile devices will have all capabilities.
