RIM Plans to Launch its First Tablet ‘BlackPad’

According to the sources, RIM plans to launch its first Tablet in to the market, which is named as ‘BlackPad’. This new device will be having seven-inch touch screen. In order to face the competition from Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android devices, RIM plans to launch this BlackPad.

RIM also plans to launch its new BlackBerry 6 operating system and Bold 9800 handsets. A new operating system designed by QNX Software Systems is used for this BlackPad. This new RIM tablet comes with Bluetooth and broadband connectivity.

BlackPad is having back and front facing cameras. RIM did not announce the exact release date yet. Sources, says RIM plans to launch its BlackPad tablet in next week. The company has not mentioned the actual price yet.
