Google Android: Android Market Share Increased

Google Android smartphone market shares have increased from 12% to 17% in US, Apple and RIM shares are dropped slightly. Though Android platform is still lagging behind first place RIM and second place Apple in smartphone market, Android has increased its shares in three months by 5%.

RIM market has down from 1.8 per cent to 39.3% of smartphone subscribers and Apple has down from 25.1 percent to 23.8 percent.

IDC said that Android’s smartphone market share will be increased to 24.6 percent in between 2010 to 2014. Google Android is an open source, Linux based operating system. Numbers of smartphone are powered by Android and growing well in the market. Smartphone which are powered with Android operating system like Motorola Droid X, HTC Droid Incredible, Samsung Fascinate and HTC Aria are going well in the market.
