YouTube Plans to Launch Online Movie Services

YouTube plans to launch free movie service after dealing with US studios including Sony Pictures and UK service Blinkbox. YouTube has already delivered TV through the deals with Channel 4 and Channel 5. Now, Over 400 titles to be made available for free streaming.

The movies available in YouTube free service include the cult films, lesser-knownYouTube Launches Online Movie Services films, classic British films and Bollywood films.

Talking about the news, the YouTube head of video partnerships, Donagh O’Malley says, “This is one of many efforts to ensure that people can find all the different kinds of video they want to see, from bedroom vlogs and citizen journalism reports to full-length YouTube Plans to Launch Online Movie Servicesfilms and TV shows,”.

The deal with Blinbox charges £1.99 for the rental of movies and TV shows and 165 films are available for free. Blinkbox will get revenue by advertising the films.
