Here comes the First ELSE smart phone which claims to center around the user’s experience rather than the phone itself. By that it means the first ELSE phone can let you interact with the phone’s features such as phone, GPS, camera etc in the same way you interact with those standalone devices alone. The First ELSE phone will feature UMTS/HSDPA, 3.5-inch 854 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display with tactile feedback, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, 5 megapixel camera, GPS and aGPS as well as proximity, ambient light and tilt sensors.
It runs Linux-based “ELSE Intuition” OS and is powered by the TI OMAP 3430 mobile processor that allows it to run multiple applications simultaneously providing good interactions to the users.
This smartphone will be launched in Q2 next year. No words on operators but Orange reps were spotted at the event that showcased this phone. And it’s been confirmed that the targeted markets will be USA, Western Europe and Russia.
